 I CARE TEAM

President

Ruth Woodson is a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment and education, currently serving in the people served community in Nashville, Tennessee, originally from Youngstown, Ohio Ruth relocated to Nashville in 2001 after obtaining her cosmetology license. Although she briefly worked in the cosmetology field, she found her true calling in public service.

For 17 years, Ruth worked with the state of Tennessee focusing on individuals within intellectual disabilities and visually impairments. The role deepened her commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and ensuring they receive the resources they need to flourish.

Having experienced bullying during her school years Ruth developed a profound passion for helping young girls navigate their educational journeys. She believes that no child should have to endure the pain of bullying, which can overshadow their academic pursuits.

Ruth is dedicated to creating safe and supportive environments where children can focus on their education and build a bright future. In her current role, Ruth actively engages with young girls providing mentorship and guidance to empower them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Her work is driven by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed free from fear and embarrassment.

Ruth holds a strong commitment to advocating, community service and education. Through her efforts she aims to inspire the next generation to reach their full potential and foster a culture of kindness and respect in schools.
